What is unispa

Introducing unispa, a specialized control system designed for use in any home or public wellness or spa resort. The design reflects the 25 years of experience with designing, building and operating some of the largest spa resorts, it represents the golden standard for professional spa control.

Product line

The unispa product line consists of the control modules listed below. Each of them has multiple supporting built-in functions usable in their respective designation to elevate. They are also capable of power management, reacting to the DSM signal to minimize the power consumption when needed while maintaning the maximum possible comfort of the visitors. The modules also have a number of safety mechanisms built in to prevent health hazards as well as property damage in various adverse scenarios, reflecting the specific nature of the spa.

  1. unispa cabin:

The cabin module is primarily intended to maintain a target temperature and relative humidity in various spa cabins. With the natively built-in functions for aroma dosing, sprinklers, air recirculation, ventilation, or ambient music player, it represents a comprehensive package for any wellnes. The module offers following options:

    • Hot (Finnish) Sauna - a hot, dry sauna typically warmed to 80–110°C with relative humididy not exceeding 30%.
    • Biosauna - a moderately hot and humid sauna with typical air temperature of 50–70°C and an auxiliary steam generator to reach the relative humidity in the range of 30-50%.
    • Herbal sauna - a warm cabin (typically 35-45°C) infused with various essential oils.

    • Steam cabin - a steam sauna with the typical air temperature of 40–60°C and a 100% relative humidity, commonly combined with essential oil infusion.
  2. unispa pool:

The pool module is primarily intended to maintain a clean and steady water in various types of pool. With the natively built-in functions for water filtering, refilling, draining or heating, filter cleaning, water or air jets, or lighting, it represents a comprehensive package for any wellnes or water complex. The module offers following options:

    • Whirlpool - a hot water tub (typically 34-36°C) with automatic or button-initiated hydromassage water or air jets.
    • Cooling pool - a small plunge pool or tub with water temperature in the range of 5-12°C for cooling down after sauna.
    • Relaxation & Swimming pool - a common pool with a number of possible attractions.

  3. unispa kneipp:

The kneipp module is primarily intended to maintain a target temperature in the kneipp walk pools. With the natively built-in functions for water filling-up, refilling, draining, air pump, or lighting, it represents a comprehensive package for any public spa.

    • Traditional kneipp walk - a series of small water pools with alternating temperatures (hot: 40-45°C, cold: 10-15°C), typically combined with gravel bottom for feet massage.
The unispa products are designed for the highly specialized control of the main spa elements. To create a large number of simpler suporting attractions like:
  • Effect showers (rain, thunderstorm, turbojets),
  • Local heating (floor, wall, benches),
  • LED lights (LED strips, optic fibres, point light),
  • Timer switches,
  • Proximity sensors,
  • Water or electricity consumption or flow sensors,
  • and more,
the system can be easily expanded with the unicontrol devices offering the unlimited options.

Central server

All the individual unispa devices can be overarched by the central unispa server. This server can perform multiple roles such as a:

  1. Communication hub for HTTP and MQTT messages.
  2. Dedicated webserver (optional).
  3. Tool for advanced automation (optional).
  4. Unispa Manager control dashboard (optional).
  5. Database for advanced telemetry (optional).

Unispa Manager

The unispa Manager is a browser-based single point control dashboard, allowing the authorized users to access and control the entire ecosystem of devices efficiently, from a single browser window, on any authorized device located within the same network. Compared to the Web Interface it provides faster, more convenient access with additional advanced database functions for the expanded user overview and diagnostics.

This Manager is intended for a daily use and does not allow the user to access all the device options. For this purpose, the user needs to access the device via the original Web Interface.

Integration

The integration described above with the server and unispa Manager represents the structure recommended to maximize both capabilities and security. However, the unispa modules are flexible and allow for integration in many other ways.
